One of the floors in the shopping building in Daiba, Tokyo,
has corners and shops where you can enjoy
the atmosphere of 1960's Tokyo.
The place is not a big thing as a whole,
but I like the objects like the ones shown in this image.

What track is it? I have no idea.
Is it for rollerskaters, or bikers? May be for both.

Some parks in Tokyo have this kind of tracks,
but obviously people has stopped using it properly for a long time.
It kind of looks like a monument from 60's or 70's.

It's hard to find a nice place to shoot
in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo on a Friday night,
because young people are everywhere.
But once you are off the main streets,
you will be able to find nice places like this.

Heavy rain hit Tokyo last night,
and it left a huge puddle at a park nearby.

Small children saw it, got excited,
and were almost diving into the puddle ;-)

I thought those flowers were kerrias which I had often seen as a kid,
but they were hypericums actually, or so told a friend of mine.
I also didn't know they produce seeds/fruits this way.

It's a new restaurant, and I love cheese naan they serve.

The rainbow circle was cast from the DVD discs on the shelf.
I also like the Bollywood movies they are always playing.

Koto-ku, the eastern area of Tokyo, has many canals.
They were used to carry lumber from the storages until 1969,
when 新木場, the new lumber storage area was built.
Kiba had become too far away from the sea because of the landfill by then.

The building seen in the distance was Seitoku Memorial Museum
which was founded in 1926. Meiji-Jingu-Gaien Park was built mainly for this building.

This can be a series.
It's really interesting to shoot night steets this way.

This is how I shoot.

1) Mount my camera on the mini tripod.
2) Open the legs of the tripod at 180 dgrees.
3) Place it on the console of my car.
4) Set the timer of the camera while waiting at a traffic signal.
5) The shutter is released somewhere after 15 or 30 minutes.

They were, are and will be around me ;-)

The terrace of Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan (東京交通会館) might be
one of the best spot to shoot Shinkansen bullet trains.
The trains approaching Tokyo Station go slow around there.
I know some of you might respond to the sign of Bic Camera ;-)
