I visited a Thai restaurant in Yurakucho today.
They serve reasonable and delicious dishes!
I like the posters on the walls of the place,
but I don't want to include other peoples
without their permisions, so I shot the ceiling there.
The image is not monochrome.
See the previous entry, Neon Lights, too.
I enjoyed Thailand Today
I went to a Thai restaurant I like best in Yurakucho, Tokyo.
The neons are on a high place on the exterior wall of the place,
so I try a new way.
1. Mount my camera on a tripod.
2. Hold up a thumb in front of the camera and get the focus.
3. Click on the shutter and hold up the tripod.
4. Adjust the angle and wait 10 seconds.
5. Go back to 1 if you don't like the result. Ha ha.
See the following entry, too.
The advertisement for Shiseido hair care products.
I'm sorry the two of them are behind the columns.
A Taiwanese beauty, Chi-Ling Lin, is posted down below.
Thank you, Yu-Fen, for responding! Love ya!
Some people say the word cocktail comes from it,
but who knows they don't serve a real tail at 700 yen?
This is part of a big play set at a park near the office.
It's interesting to soot it from different point of views :-)
It's good that I don't have to go to work wearing a suit and tie.
My colleague caught sight of me
while I was squatting down on a roadside.
No, no, don't worry. I was not sick!!
canonshooter2005 suggested
that I shoot puffballs against the sky.
I found so many of them
at a park nearby today, so I tried it.
Actually it was so hard to try this angle.
Once you touch the stems,
the seeds fell so easily.
I killed many of them,
and again I forgot to make a wish!
Unfortunately it was cloudy,
and couldn't see the blue sky.
I didn't like the colors
so I have added a hint of sepia color here.
When I can't go out to shoot photos because of the heavy rain,
I make do with the flowers in the pots in front of the office.
This is part of a maze set in a park nearby.
It has been there since I was a small kid.
It is painted in four colors,
and you can take photos of its vairous faces.
Yae-Sakura blooms one or two weeks later than somei yoshino.
The flower has more petals and its color is deeper.
Actually it reminds me of a Japanese confectionery, 桜餅 (sakura mochi).
Poppies are everywhere now.
Along railroad tracks, roads, walls of houses. . .
I bet they are non-native species here in Japan.
OK, the one on April 9 was supposed to be the last sakura upload.
But when I visited a resevoir in Daitabashi, Setagaya,
which is open to public at this time of year,
I found this pure white sakura,
a different breed from somei yoshino.
Why not shoot them?
At first, I thought of shooting their "faces,"
but realized this POV might be nicer.
We used to call women who looked beautiful from behind "backcian,"
which was a coined word and was pronounced as bakkushan.
These flowers are quite backcians, are they?
Yakiniku(焼肉), meat barbecue restaurant is across from a butcher shop.
In addition, a grilled chicken restaurant is next to the butcher shop.

When I woke up this morning,
I found these two beetles.
I chose the blue one and drove to work.
Ah, if I did that, it would take so many hours ;-)
My camera can't take a bulb shot.
The longest exposure is one second under the normal setting.
So I use the camera into Star Light mode,
which enables me to select from
a 15-, 30-, or 60-second exposure.
So this is what I always do.
1. Set the mode to Star Light, choosing 15-sec exposure.
2. Release the shutter.
3. Cover the lens with my hand in 2 or 3 seconds.
4. And wait for 12 or 13 seconds, keeping covering the lens.
Very primitive way with a hi-tech digital camera, isn't it? ;-)
I've passed by several times,
and I decided to take out my camera
and shoot them today.
I see this motorbike every morning.
The owner keeps it clean,
so I was able to get the beautiful photo.
I found them along railroad tracks.
If only I had time to find a right angle!
The trains come and go in no time!
I love photography, but I love my life more.
100th uplpad for the set "Every Day"!
I originally wanted to shoot yellow flower of this kind
at a different place in the sunset light yesterday.
But those flowers closed before the sun set,
and I lost the chance. . .
So I shot this one today in the warm April sunshine.
Taken on an alley of a local town.
When a car is approaching,
you have to step aside
and press your body against a house.
Yes, it's true!
That's a very fetching headdress you're wearing.
This is the last upload of sakura image this year.
It's hard to find a nice "petal carpet" in town.
Usually they have been squashed,
or swept away with blooms.
Here I finally found the right place.
Mom: I can't move my right arm!
Reproduction of an ancient home found at a park nearby.
Reflections
I noticed the reflections of lights on the fence were nice.
Kuroneko Yamato is one of the courier companies.
Kuroneko means black cat(s).
It might be really fun to take a walk with him under the cherry trees.
They left the house torn down halfway
and seemed to have day offs.
I thought the house looked like a stage for a play ;-)
Sakura under the Traffic Signal Lights
This is an experimental shot.
I just wanted to know how sakura would look
under the lights of traffic signals.
I love the green dots on the bells.
What do you think?
I stopped my bike and shot them,
so unintentionally my bike is included on the right here. . .
The last upload of sakura video.
Taken by my son.
Sakura is everywhere around the town.
We are so in love with sakura.
We can enjoy them only for a week or so every year,
but still we love them!
I did the same thing yesterday afternoon,
at Shinobazu no Ike, one of the hanami spot in Tokyo,
but the place was so crowded, and I hated what I got.
See the previous post.
So I shot again this morning at a spot near my house.
You can't eat, drink, dance, or sing under these trees,
but if you really want to enjoy sakura,
you should visit this kind of place.
Lastly, sorry about the shakiness of the video.
I shot this while riding my bike!
I didn't enjoy much here because of so many people,
but I walked along the cherry trees
in case some of you are curious to know
what it is like to visit sakura spots.
I found this on top of the cabinet
right next to my desk right before I started to work.
These are empty CD cases I left up there,
The light from the skylight was illuminating them beautifully.
The new school year has begun!
I am not a student but feel fresh again!
It's good to have rain from time to time for photographers,
because plants look really fresh with waterdrops.
Of course, rain has to stop before I go to work, though.
I see this scene every day. Wow.
Did I use a texture for this image? No, actually.
I shot a texture/wallpaper on a wall at the office ;-)
I should have waited until a real taxi was passing by.
I will fly like a bird someday.
I know I won't be able to do that, you know.
We often see these metal sparrows in Tokyo.
They are usually on handrails at parks.
I don't know why they are there,
but the only thing I can say is that
you can not sit on them
unless you love stubbing pains.
Every living thing is adorable when they are babies.
