上野から浅草橋を歩く / Talking a Walk from Ueno to Asakusabashi

優れない天気の土曜日。ある目的があったので上野まででかけた。用事はすぐに済んでしまった。そのまま上野から帰ることもできたのだが、カメラも持ってきていたことだし、ゆるゆると散歩をしてみることにした。

It was a cloudy Saturday. I went to Ueno for a certain purpose, but I finished it very soon, and I realized I had nothing more to do in the area. I could go back home straight from there, but I had a camera with me, so I decided to take a walk around there.

こんな路地は夜の散歩では見逃しがち。
It's easy to overlook this kind of alley in the evening.

子どものとき、不注意から有刺鉄線で足を切ったのを思い出す。
When I was a child, I cut my leg with such a barbed wire.

以前、仲間と夜に訪れた商店街に足を運び、右に行ったり左に行ったり、路地に入ってみたり、また戻ってきたり……。少しずつ南下してたどり着いたのはJR浅草橋駅。気の向くままに普通の街並みを歩くのは、デートには向かないけれど、一人でぼんやり歩くのにはちょうどいい。

I visited shopping streets that I had tried with friends in the evening. I took a right turn, and then left. I found an alley with nice atmosphere, and sometimes went back to where I passed. I gradually go south and reached Asakusabashi Station of the JR Sobu Line in the end. It was not good for a date, but perfect for me to walk alone without thinking about my daily busy life.

こんな風に髪を染めている人、いるよね。
I know someone who has dyed her hair like this.

あの手押し車は現役か？
Are they still using that cart?

スタバとかマックとかの立体看板に慣れていると、こういうローカルなものはとても新鮮。
I'm used to signs of famous chains such as Starbucks and McDonald's, so a local sign such as that looked so good.

「ネオン」だけに、夜はキラキラ光るのだろうか。
Will the sign glitter in the evening because this place's name is "Neon?"

商売繁盛のカエルの置物。でも、妖怪ウォッチステッカーが供えてある意味は不明。
A flog figure had been placed in the hope for business prosperity. But I'm not sure why Yokai Watch stickers were there. 

ハトと目が合った。
We looked at each other for a while.

ネコは目をそらした。
The cat looked away from me.

ウルトラマンが捨ててある！　空っぽだった…。
I wish those boxes had contained the Ultraman figures.

仲良し。
Good friends.

井戸端会議。
The bins were having a discussion.

左衛門橋から神田川の終点を眺める。
I wento the Saemon Bridge to see the end point of the Kanda River.
