遅咲きの桜 / The late-blooming cherry blossoms（AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED)

種類は知らない。母親は南殿桜（なでんざくら）というけれど、調べてみるとその種類は八重桜。これは違う。とはいえ京都の仁和寺から家の庭にやってきて数年。一度バッサリ切られた翌年に花を付けなかったことがあったが、今年は過去最高の数の花を付けた。

東京の対して広くもない庭に、なぜ大きく育つ桜の木を植えたのだろう。春になると一気に伸びて、今、３メートルを超える高さがある気がする…。

We had a cherry tree in the garden. It came from Kyoto a while ago. It once didn't produce any flower after it had been cut in the middle of the trunk in the previous year. So I am happy that it is producing the most number of flowers this year.

But why did my family plant such a tree in a not-so-large garden like ours. It's about three meters tall now and soon will occupy most of the garden ...

春らんまん散歩 / Taking a walk in the spring air (AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E VR ED)

The group photo event was very successful. After the event was over, I got a cold and I had an awful week. So it was really nice to have a day off without anything I had to do. I took a walk in my neighborhood and enjoyed the spring air.

東京夜間写真部のグループ写真展が無事終了。安心したのか風邪を引き、ひどい一週間を過ごした。久々に予定のない週末の土曜日。のんびりと近所を散歩して、春の空気を楽しんだ。

近所の桜祭り。桜が咲いているうちに開催できてよかった。
I passed the cherry blossoms festival. Flowers bloomed earlier than usual, so it was good the event made it in time!

祭りを抜けて普段の町を散歩。
I left the festival and enjoyed walking in the town.

以前の通勤路だった公園の花も楽しんだ。
I visited the park along the previous commuting route.
