定番となった国際フォーラムガラス棟を超広角で楽しむ / Enjoying One of the popular photo locations in Tokyo with an ultra-wide angle lens（SIGMA 14mm f/1.8）

その昔、写真を投稿する場所といったらFlickrが主流だったころは、この場所を撮ってSNSに上げている人はまだまだ少なかった。

今では定番となった国際フォーラムのガラス棟。取り尽くされた感がある場所だけれども、超広角レンズのダイナミックな絵を楽しむには、やはりここがいい。

僕は高いところが苦手だから、高いところから下をのぞくことはあまり好きではない。そして、撮った写真を画面いっぱいにして眼の前で改めて眺めると、実際と同じくらいドキドキするのは、超広角レンズの仕業に違いない。

When the mainstream photo-sharing service was Flickr, not many photos of this place were shared on the Internet.

Now this glass building is so popular. It's almost impossible to find a new angle but it still is one of the best places to play with an ultra-wide angle lens.

I hate high places. I don't like to look down the bottom floor from the top. When I opened the photos I had taken there, I felt the same dizziness. I hate ... no I love such dynamic views this wide-angle lens has to offer.

縦位置だと真上までラクラク写る。
In portrait position, you can capture the floor and the ceiling over your head in one shot.

最近、ソフトフィルターを付けっぱなしのNIKKOR 24-70 f/2.8Eでも撮ってみた。超広角で使える、角型のソフトフィルターを作ってくれないかな。

I always have a soft effects filter on the NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8 these days, so I tried the effect on the archtecture. I hope NiSi will produce a square filter with such effects.

実はこの日は、Drink＆Click Tokyoのイベントの日だった。テーマがICM（Intentional Camera Movement：カメラを意図的に動かしてブレを作る手法）ということなので、ソフトフィルターを付けたまま遊んでみた。

露出1秒で、最初の1/2秒は静止、残りの1/2秒でくるっと円を描くようにしてみたのだが…。きれいな円を描くのは難しい。

I joined a Drink and Click Tokyo event that day. The photo theme was ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). So I tried it anyway. I set the exposure time at one second. I held the camera still for a half second and moved it in circle for another half second. It was hard to draw a perfect circle ...

最後は集合写真。この日はアメリカに帰る友人２人の送別会も兼ねていたので、普段より数倍にぎやかなにぎやかなパーティーとなった。

The last photo was the gathering shot at the party. It was a farewell party for two of our friends who are leaving Japan in April. Many people joined the party to say goodbye to them. We had lots of fun :)
