It was in the first half of February. After I took photos of Japanese white-eyes and the early-blossoming cherries with the 80-400mm lens, I went for the 85mm prime lens and enjoyed walked around the town of Atami in Shizuoka prefecture.
When I was a child, my family often went to a facility in Atami, which was owned by the company my grandmother was working at. We visited the town about twice a year. I loved to stroll around the town and play games in the amusement centers along the streets. The town is full of my childhood memories.
Atami was one of the destinations for honeymoon in 1950s and 60s, but it gradually went out of fashion. A lot of hotels had been torn down by the end of the last century. So I'm glad to see the town seems to be reviving.
Anyway, the question is the fruit in the photo above. It looked like a plum tree, but I don't think it produces fruits when its flowers are blooming. Also, the size of the fruit is strangely large. Do you know what that is??
