SIGMA 14mmとND 8000。遠くの海をゆらゆらと / Gazing at the waves in the distance through the SIGMA 14mm and ND 8000

どこの海だっただろうか。日付を見ると2017年8月12日とある。

どこで撮ったかわからないから、Googleのロケーション履歴を見て振り返ってみると、房総の津浜海水浴場とある。

I don't remember where it was. It was August 12, 2017 judging by the exif data. I have no idea where it was, so I refer to my location history on Google. Now I know I saw these waves in Tsuhama Beach in Futtsu, Chiba.

場所の名前すら記憶にないくらいだから、昨年の個展に展示した写真を撮った場所ではないとわかる。気になるからLightroomを開いて、8月12日のフォルダを探して開く。

I even don't remember the name of the beach, so I can tell that it was not one of the places of which photos I selected for my last exhibition. I open Lightroom and find the folder of the date.

対岸の三浦半島に大きな船が通ったのを思い出した。側面にDiamond Princessとある。名前が見たくて望遠レンズでのぞいたんだった。

海を撮り続けていたときはいつもそうだったが、サブのカメラではこうやって望遠でいろいろなものを眺めていた。

I remember a large ship passing near Miura Peninsula, the other side of the Tokyo Bay. It had its name written on its side. Diamond Princess. Yes, I used the telephoto lens so that I could see its name.

Whenever I visit an ocean front last year for the last project, I always look at distant things using my second camera with a telephoto lens on it.

カメラの手前で見た海岸の風景もいろいろ思い出してきた。

そして、そうだ。この日はSIGMAの14mmを手にして出た２回目の撮影だった。普通の夕日にがっかりして帰ったんだっけ。

Now I remember lots of things I saw that day, including things outside the frames.

And yes. It was the second outing with the then-brand-new SIGMA's 14mm lens. I was disappointed by the sunset. It was OK, but not so great ...

でも、そんな普通の夕日も、思い出として振り返るといいものだ。

写真っていいな。

Still, looking back at the time, such a normal sunset still looks great as a memory.

I love photography. It works like my second brain.
