A Friend

I like to use a 35mm lens for a portrait in the streets. The distance between a model and me is comfortable. We can have a conversation and the next moment I can take a photo of the model.

I like the bokeh that a 50mm lens creates, but the longer lens I use, the longer the distance of the photographer and the model.

I like lenses with shorter focal lengths, but I may be get a slap because I get too close to the model (I haven't had such an experience yet by the way).

By the way, I met the model here through a camera equipment manufacturer in China. She was a sales representative but left the company. So I thought I would never see her again, but she came to Japan to see me ... Oh, I lied. Sorry. She came to Japan to study in a graduate college.

Anyway, I enjoyed reunion in Shinjuku that night.

Taking a Walk with a fish-eye lens in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo

I haven't taken a night photos with a tripod for a while. The last time was in February.

That night, I went out with some of my friends for dinner, planning to take a walk after that. So somehow I was with a fish-eye lens. Only the fish-eye lens.

I was thinking what I should capture for a while, and then, a tripod was delivered. "Delivered" was wrong because a frind of mine kindly let me use her tripod during the walk. Can she bring a tripod for me every time we hang out? Please.

Anyway, I enjoyed taking photos in Minami Aoyama area, one of the most fashionable places in Tokyo.

Of course, most of the shops were closed because we took a walk after dinner, but it was fun to walk along the street with a tripod!

Everything was distorted through the fish-eye lens. Don't walk looking into the view finder. It is dangerous.
The view through the hole on a front door should look like this.
I saw pigs on the wall but they were far away through the lens.
With a tripod, you can capture the dark shop with no trouble.
I played with the color temperature setting in the camera.
My friend advised me that I look up, so I did.
The Prada building in Aoyama looks distorted, so does it look natural through the fish-eye?
A security guard came out when I was pointing my camera toward the shop. I was just waiting for the woman looking back.
I liked the colors of the lighting in this shop. I have never shopped at Miu Miu.
COMME des GARÇONS's cool shop looked lonely through the lens.
On the way home.
I tried to take a selfie at this spot, but those two ladies took my position ...

The main reason we visited Aoyama was pancakes. We visited Clinton St. Baking Company. They serve delicious pancakes! We ate a lot so we had to walk a lot after that :)
