ダゲレオタイプ・アクロマートで三軒茶屋の三角地帯を（ちょっとだけ）歩いた / Took a walk in the triangle area in Sangenjaya with the Daguerreotype Achromat 64/2.9 for a short while

東急世田谷線に沿って散歩をすると、三軒茶屋のこのあたりがゴールになることが多い。

この日は世田谷線散歩はしなかったけれど、三軒茶屋で友人と会ったので、ついでに真っ昼間に営業前の飲み屋街に進入した。

友人によると、この一帯は再開発が決まって、近い将来なくなってしまうらしい。

僕自身は飲み屋街に入り浸る人間でもないから、おセンチになくなってほしくないとか言うつもりもない。でも、三軒茶屋で唯一、写真散歩をして楽しいエリアだったので、なくなってほしくないな。

あ、言ってしまった。

When I take a walk along the Tokyu Setagaya Line, I end up in this bar and restaurant area.

I didn't take a walk along the line that day, but I met up with a friend of mine in Sangenjaya, so I strolled around the alleys during the day, well before the business hours of the tenants.

My friend told me that this area would be torn down for development.

I'm not a kind of guy who frequents a small bar in this kind of area, so I won't say I will miss it. But this is the only neighborhood in the town where walking around with a camera is really fun. I will miss it if it's gone.

Oh, I said it.

フィルターワークで捉えた霧の朝 / A Sunrise in the Fog Captured with ND Filters

もう半年以上前の朝だ。

この日は午前１時に家を出て、海辺の夜明けの星空を撮ろうと鹿島の下津海岸というところに行った。それまでいい具合に晴れていたのに、着いたとたんにあたりは霧に包まれた。

何も見えないなか、日が昇るまでの数時間を波打ち際、もしくは波の中で待つ。孤独だけれど貴重な経験をした朝だったと思う。

It was a morning more than a half year ago.

I left home at around one in the morning. I wanted to capture the starry sky and the morning light in one frame. When I left home, the sky looked so clear. But as soon as I arrived at the beach (Shimotsu Beach in Kashima, Ibaraki Prefecture), the atmosphere started to be enveloped in the fog.

I didn't see things so well around me. I just waited for the sunrise at the seashore or in the coming waves. I felt lonely but it was an invaluable experience.

月を撮ったのか何を撮ったのか。不思議な空。
Did I capture the moon or anything else? The atmosphere was so dreamy.

日の出の時間を過ぎた。ビーナスベルトが西の空に見え始めた。
It was well past the time of sunrise. The Venus belt appeared in the western sky.

固定したメインカメラはこの時間になって、撮るものがなくなった。
My main camera on the tripod had nothing to do at the time.

霧の向こうに風車が見えてきた。
The windmills emerged behind the thick fog.

いつの間にかサーファーの数が増えた。
The number of the surfers had increased before I knew it.

辺り一面が黄金に包まれ不思議な気分になった。
The golden light engulfed the beach. I felt enchanted.

では、改めて固定したメインカメラが捉えたこの日の朝を時系列で。予想しなかった朝の光景だったが、3枚目の写真が気に入って昨年の個展のメインビジュアルに選んだ。

The photos below are the ones my main camera on the tripod captured. I chose the second one as the main visual for my photo exhibition I held in September, 2017.

霧で霞んで朝日を諦めたころ。最初はフィルターなし。
I gave up capturing the sunrise because of the sky condition.

空が明るくなってきた。
The sky was getting brighter.

ND 8

空が明るくなったのでNDフィルターを急いで交換した。
The sky has gotten brighter, so I changed the filters.
ND 64

のんびりしていたら朝日が顔を出して慌てた。急いでND1000に交換。
The sun came out suddenly. I hurried to do everything not to miss the moment.

This is one of the moments I loved most from that day.

I used the telephoto-end of the 24-70mm for this shot.

首都高の昔の「裏」が見える場所 / The Edges

1995年の阪神淡路大震災の後、首都高速の多くの箇所に耐震補強が施された。支柱や高架の裏が補強された、裏の美しいデザインは補強材によって覆い隠されてしまった。3号渋谷線もそのひとつで、橋の裏は何とも味気ない表情をしている。

先日、3号線に沿って散歩をしていてたときのこと。池尻大橋付近で国道246号線を横切る歩道橋を見つけ、上からの景色を見ようと渡ってみた。すると、なんと、歩道橋が首都高の高架すれすれに渡されているため、歩道橋の上だけ補強されていなかった。元の底が丸見えだった。

下の写真で、奥の高架の補強が歩道橋のところだけ途切れてのが見えるだろうか。

最初の写真は、そこから真横を向いて撮ったもの。高架なのに高架に見えない、なんだか不思議な絵になった。

After the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995, many parts of Metropolitan Expressway were reinforced. The Route 3 Shibuya Line is one of them. Now the bottom of the expressway is totally covered with the reinforcement.

When I walked along the route the other day, I saw a pedestrian bridge near Ikejiri-Ohashi station. I just wanted to see how things would look from the bridge, so I decided to cross it. Then I noticed that the bridge was so close to the bottom of the expressway and the reinforcement was interrupted. I was able to see the original bottom.

This is the photo I captured looking sideways. Because of the end of the reinforced bottom, the expressway looked like something different, didn't it?

今回の機材

久しぶりにLomography Daguerreotype Achromat 2.9/64を使った（ロモグラフィー・ダゲレオタイプ・アクロマート）

D810ではMFで使いづらく、数回しか使っていなかったこのレンズ。それをなんでまた使ってみようと思ったかというと、D850のファインダーになってMFが扱いやすくなったからだ。

使うのはほとんど開放f/2.9の絞りリング。ピントが合ってもにじむしソフト。どこにピントが合っているかもよくわからない。でも、それが面白いから小さい絞りのリングは使わない。

It was hard to use this MF lens on the D810, so I hadn't used it so often. With the wide-open f/2.9 aperture ring, everything looks so blurred... But with the D850, which is equipped with a better optical view finder, focusing has gotten much easier.

橋のオンパレード / An Exciting View

 

This is one of the most exciting views I have seen lately. I saw so many bridges from this pot. Keihin Ohashi Bridge (the red ones), Metropolitan Expressway's Bay Shore Route (situated between the red bridges), ME's connection bridge, the bridge for the Tokyo Monorail's, an aqueduct bridge and ME's Route 1 Haneda Line.

今年見て、最も興奮した場所。なんで興奮したのか、わかるかな。わからないだろうな。

手前の赤い橋が京浜大橋。その間に首都高速湾岸線。向こうに首都高湾岸線連絡道。その奥に東京モノレールが走っていて、水道管橋、さらにその奥に首都高1号羽田線が見えた。橋のオンパレード。

公園の隅っこでこういうところをじっと見ているのは、変な人です。
I know I was looking so weird when I stand at a corner of a park examining the bridge details.

「かじまる」っていうのがいた。鹿島道路のキャラクターなのか。
The cartoon-like character is named Kajimaru.

バスで来たわけではない。
I didn't come by bus. I just liked the lonely sign.

100番台ということは湾岸線はこっちの南が始点だね。
The young number indicates that the starting point of this route was close.

東海ふ頭公園にて。前にこの対岸から夜に撮ったのを思い出した。

ここのところ、訳あって首都高の下を昼間に歩くということを続けている。いつもは車で通り過ぎるだけだから、じっくりいろいろ観察できて楽しい。

こういうものに興味がない人にとっては、何も見るものがない。排ガス臭いなど、文句しか出てこないとは思うけれども。

昼間に高架の裏を見るのも面白い / It is interesting to see the bottom of bridges during the day

I had taken photos of this place at night many times, but being at the same spot during the day was interesting. The daylight revealed things I hadn't noticed in the dark.

江戸橋の上を行く首都高都心環状線。夜になると橋裏に灯りが入る、首都高の数少ないスポットだ。ちなみに僕が知っている限りでは、橋裏に灯りが入るのは、ここと日本橋、あとは六本木交差点上の３号渋谷線だけだ。

夜には何度も撮りきたけれど、昼間にこうやって見ることはめったにない。夜には気が付かなかったディテールが見えてきて、じっと観察してしまう。非常に面白い。

上の写真は江戸橋から江戸橋ジャンクション方面を眺めたところ。最初に撮った2009年にはこの右側には江戸橋倉庫ビルという昭和5年に建てられたビルがあった。2010年には工事が始まって、今は新しい日本橋ダイヤビルディングという建物になっている。

昔の意匠を残した新しいビルかと思ったら、外壁はそのまま保存し、中に新しいビルを建築したらしい。きれいになったけれど昔のまま。いいな、そういう風に古きを大切にするのって。

首都高の方はというといまだに補強工事中。このあたりは支柱が細くて貧弱だから、しっかりと直してあと100年は使ってほしい。
