Ordinary Tokyo Scenes / 35mm

I had something to do in Shinjuku. I took a train at the nearby station. I could go straight to Shinjuku by train, but I got off at Daitabashi, four stops before Shinjuku and started to walk to my destination.

When I take a walk, I just follow my heart. I turn right when I see something that catches my eyes. I turn left when I find a lovely shop in the corner at the end of the alley. But things I see most are the things I see in my daily life. Things that are common in the residential areas in Tokyo.

There's nothing special, but that nothingness is what I think interesting.

White flowers were places at the counter of a closed bar. I thought they were fake.

Those pots were placed evenly spaced apart and in a straight line. I imagined their owner's character.

I thought the window of this unused house had been sealed. It was just part of its design ...
That last letter will fall soon, I'm sure.
I wondered what was in the bin.
As soon as I see this kind of covered conduit, I feel like going forward. And I soon realize there is nothing special at the other end.

SIGMA 35mm f/1.4 で神宮前を歩く / Taking a Photo Walk with the SIGMA 35mm f/1.4

I didn't think much and took a walk in Jingumae area in Shibuya last week, so I had to walk in the same area on two consecutive weekends. I had booked a table at a cafe in Harajuku to eat this, so I had no other choice.

The place I visited was the Hrajuku shop of the Original Pancake House. I chose the most expensive pancake in the menu, though I had originally thought of ordering a different one. Why pancake? There's a reason but it's a long story. I'll write about it sometime in the future. Maybe.

Camera: Nikon D810(パンケーキの写真はiPhone 6)
Lens: SIGMA 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM

The black object (a pot?) caught my eyes. I realized later that the windowsill in the poster on the left perfectly matched the atmosphere.
I stood on the earth. I know we all are standing on it all the time, though.
The sign said only the commissioned artists are permitted to paint, but I had no idea which ones were the ones.
A woman was taking a photo of those boots when I saw them. I thought the person doing so for commercial ads or something, but later it revealed that they were just trash some one had left behind.
Does anything live in it? What a tiny entrance.
If that kind of object were inserted in that spot, everyone would have to stand straight like that mannequin.
I often find this panda sticker in Tokyo. I'm sure the leaves will hide this one before summer.
Tokyo is yours. But who added "maybe" there?
いいなあ、「I LOVE MY 人生」。
I love this sticker saying "I love my life." Now I'm getting to love my life.
My heart is as beautiful as this. I bet.
An unused desk left on the sidewalk. I love this kind of decay.
I saw the frogs I had seen last week again. This time, I tried to focus on the white one, but the drunken one interrupted me.
I always pass under this bridge. It was my first to go over it. I didn't know its name until then.
The view from the bridge. It was just what I had expected. Too ordinary.
I love to take a walk in a fashionable area and see fashionable people. This girl was not there technically, though.
The wooden sign says a historically famous person once lived there. I bet he never imagined this kind of future change to his place..
They looked like my dog.
Keep your dog on a leash. Or let your dog walk on chains?

Irrationalistic Harmonization by Dr. Akira TAKAUE on 500px.com

Enjoying spring flowers in Roka Koshunen Park

I thought it would be rainy this Sunday, but the sun was shining through the clouds in the early morning. I went out to the park in my neighborhood and enjoyed spring flowers.

Roka Koshunen Park is famous for a kind of cherry, which we call Takato Kohigan Sakura. It's a different kind from Someiyoshino, which is the most popular one in Japan, and it produces flowers a bit earler.

I couldn't see the cherry flowers today, but the colors from different flowers such as field mustard, pleased my eyes in the bright sunlight.

Lens: AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED (最初の菜の花のみ SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary)

The flowers in the last shot is called Yukiyanagi, which is Spiraea thunbergii, and it seems that they will be in full bloom next weekend. I hope I have a chance to visit the park again.

神宮前を50mmで歩く / Taking a Walk with a 50mm lens in Shibuya

I went to Micheal Kenna's exhibition in Shibuya, then to the glassware shop to receive a pair of glasses I had brought in for repair last week. I had some time so decided to take a walk.

I headed to Jingumae area (Harajuku and Omotesando is in the area). I walked through Shibuya Cat Street to Omotesando. There were lots of people (I don't like crowded places).

18,000 steps. It is a bit more than usual, but I didn't take so many photos because of the crowd and the bad weather.
